Ethics

CODE OF ETHICS

Accelerated Christian Education® has taken the conventional style textbook and divided it into bite-sized, achievable worktexts called PACEs. Each PACE is similar to a unit in a textbook. Each level consists of 12 PACEs in each subject. PACEs integrate Godly character-building lessons into the academic content, and self-instructional activities are carefully designed to develop thinking skills and create mastery learning.

📌 Recognizing Patterns

Serious abuse usually involves a combination of factors. While a single sign may not be significant, a pattern of physical or behavioral signs is a serious indicator and should be reported.

🗣️ If a Child Tells You About Abuse

  • 👂 Be a good listener: Show that you understand and believe the child.
  • 🤝 Be supportive: Assure them they did the right thing by coming to you.
  • ❌ Don’t overreact: This can frighten them or stop them from sharing more.
  • 📝 Document it: Write down what the child says as soon as possible.
  • ⏳ Don’t delay: Report the abuse immediately—don’t assume someone else will.

⚖️ Liability Protections

Any person, official, or institution participating in good faith in any act required by law, or reporting in good faith any instance of child abuse, abandonment, or neglect to law enforcement, shall be immune from civil or criminal liability. (F.S. 39.203)

Employers disclosing information about an employee to a prospective employer are immune from civil liability unless the disclosed information was knowingly false or violated civil rights. (F.S. 768.095)
